If you are interested in this sport, we recommend Spalona trail in the village of the same name. This is the most popular and most recommended cross-country skiing trail in the area.
Spalona is a small village located in the Bystrzyckie Mountains in the Kłodzko Region. The assets of this place are invaluable, and more and more people are discovering them. The altitude above sea level and the specific microclimate create ideal conditions for winter sports. The most important assets are beautifully prepared cross-country skiing trails with a length of more than 40 kilometres and an artificially snow-covered ski lift.
Cross-country trails in Spalona offer excellent conditions for cross-country skiing for both amateurs and racers:
Skiing glade – the length of serpentines: approx. 800 m. The trail is lighted in the winter season.
Duża Jagodna Loop– length: 15 km. The trail with a loop around the Jagodna peak (977 m above sea level) runs from the glade on the Przełęcz Spalona (Spalona Pass) towards Sasin hill (867 m above sea level), from there to Sasanka peak (965 m above sea level) and further to Jagodna peak. The skiers can expect a steep run-up around the top.

One of the most popular attractions for active visitors is the Singletrack Glacensis, which forms the largest routes network in Europe. The project allows to cycle on the singletrack routes covering the whole Kłodzko Region. The whole distance amounts to around 260 km (along with asphalt or gravel joints) and stretches from Srebrna Góra to Jagodna,
The loops run along the eastern wall of the Kłodzko Valley (Glacensis is its Latin name), from the very north (Srebrna Góra/Bardo), to the very south (Czarna Góra/Międzygórze), leading through Złoty Stok and Lądek Zdrój on the way, and passing Kłodzko at a short distance.
No matter where you set out for your adventure, you will always come back to the start point. The routes are marked in red and blue. Riding forward, your routes are marked in one colour. When you turn around the colour will change. The blue sections lead towards Srebrna Góra, and the red ones towards Stronie Śląskie.
We recommend reading the free map of Singletrack Glacensis. It is a growing network of singletrack routes, which consists of several very attractive trails www.singletrackglacensis.pl.
At the moment, the whole network consists of 24 loops. Ultimately, it is to be merged into one large network that does not require the user to commute to individual sections.
The most coherent part of the network begins (or ends) in Bardo (Wolf Loop, Count’s Loop, Rosary Hill Loop, Loop Łaszczowa). Then we head to Złoty Stok (Loop Kłodzka, Chwalisław’s Loop, Two Passes Loop, Loop Złoty Stok, Loop Orłowiec). Loop Orłowiec basically ends at the entrance to Lądek Zdrój, where two more loops begin – Trojak and Zdrój. A few kilometers to the south, there is Stronie Śląskie, from where we can reach Międzylesie with further loops (Loop Stronie Śląskie, Loop Międzygórze, Loop Rudka, Loop under Śnieżnik Mountain, Loop Ostoja, Loop Jodłów).
From Stronie Śląskie you can reach the Bike Park Czarna Góra, mostly famous for its Milky Way Biking Trail.
The most recommended track among BMT lovers is Glacensis Flow Trip. On this track, we are guaranteed to pass the seven best parts of the loop. Riders and their bikes are transported between successive points. There is a lunch break in the itinerary, and subsequent transfers are a great opportunity to talk, get to know the region better and listen to some interesting facts about it. For an additional fee, an instructor will assist you in mastering your bike skills along the way.
Glacensis Flow Trip is the perfect solution for anyone who visits the regions of Kłodzko for the first time. The first day gives us the opportunity to try the best parts of the Singletrack Glacensis network, and then in the following days or subsequent trips to this region of Poland, we can ride just in the parts most appealing to us.
Another recommended singletrack route is Glacensis from Przełęcz Jaworowa (Jaworowowa Pass). There are three loops taking off from the pass: Orłowiec, leading to Lądek-Zdrój, Two Passes and Złoty Stok leading to Złoty Stok. In this way, within one day you can check the trails of different quality and while eating lunch in the Golden Slope, decide whether you would like to explore further.
The Rudka Loop in Stronie Śląskie is often recommended by BMT cyclists. The route starts to the right of Stary Wapiennik in Kletno, (the slope of the Krzyżnik mountain – 710 m above sea level). It leads through Janowiec (884 m above sea level) above the village of Sienna and wraps around the Rudka mountain (960 m above sea level) above Janowa Góra. Then, it returns on the other side of the slope above Kletno to the starting point – the road above Stary Wapiennik. The path is constructed in a way that enables everyone to cross it.
Access point: car park in the old landfill in Stara Morawa, car park by the reservoir in Stara Morawa or on Przełęcz Janowa (Janowa Pass).
Difficulty: The route is very fast, medium physically demanding, very technically demanding, especially at higher speeds.
Distance / Elevation – 8.9 km / 250 m
Loop Stronie Śląskie is also often recommended to BMT lovers. This loop initially leads to the ski slopes of the Czarna Góra Ski Resort. It crosses all the slopes starting from the Proca lift, through Żmije and ending at Luxtorpeda. Singletrack route is arranged in such way that it omits slopes that are too steep. Even the more experienced cyclists will be positively surprised – every 20 meters or so, there are hops that provide a lot of fun.
Access point: car park in the old landfill in Stara Morawa, car park by the reservoir in Stara Morawa, on the Przełęcz Janowa (Janowa Pass) or on the Przełęcz Puchaczówka (Puchaczówka Pass).
Difficulty: The route is phisically demanding and a bit technically demanding. The initial part of 4.5 km is shared with the Rudka Loop. The routes divide on Przełęcz Janowa (Janowa Pass).
Distance / Elevation – 22.4 km / 735 m

The historic limestone „Łaskawy Kamień” („Graceful Stone”) dating back to the end of the 18th century is a real kaleidoscope. Here, different worlds intersect – the worlds of unique industrial technology, spectacular art, fascinating nature and stimulating exoticism of the east. Rumford limestone furnace is a unique, the only one in the country and the third in Europe original restored and preserved lime kiln. It is a house to art workshops, an art gallery, a Japanese garden, a viewing terrace, and a bat observatory.
The furnace also houses a mini museum of old equipment and a printing studio, where materials are printed and framed using old printing, typesetting and bookbinding machines. Here, you can watch the old printing process, which starts with the proper arrangement of moving fonts.
